Enhancing Access to Special Education

Project by Justice for Children and Youth, a legal aid clinic for the rights of young people

Understanding and navigating special education processes can be difficult.

Types of questions that arise:

“What’s an IPRC? IEP? Does this mean I won’t be in class with my friends anymore?”

“This feels like a lot to handle on my own, but I don’t know who to talk to.”

“I don’t agree with my child’s IPRC decision, what do I do next?”

JFCY is creating resources to help students and families understand these processes and be equipped to access the supports they need.

We want to hear from you!

For our resources to be helpful, we need your input.
