The decision under review was made by the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario (\u201cHRTO\u201d) on November 20th, 2024. In <a href=\"https:\/\/canlii.ca\/t\/k81ws\"><em>Borderland Pride v. Corporation of the Township of Emo<\/em>, 2024 HRTO 1651<\/a>, the HRTO found that that the Township of Emo and its Mayor discriminated in 2020 when Borderland Pride\u2019s request for a proclamation that June be declared \u201cPride Month\u201d by the Town and that it display an LGBTQ2 rainbow flag for a week was denied.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As intervener, JFCY aims to ensure the rights and interests of young people, and 2SLGBTQIA+ children and young people in particular impacted by this decision are considered.
