Friends of Ruby

Friends of Ruby is dedicated to the progressive well-being of 2SLGBQTIA+ youth (aged 16-29) through mental health services, social services and housing.

Native Youth Sexual Health Network

NYSHN is an organization by and for Indigenous youth that works across issues of sexual and reproductive health, rights and justice.

It is an LGBTQ-affirming space that offers resources such as a free ‘Two Spirit Resources Directory,’ ‘Healthy Sexuality & Fighting Homophobia and Transphobia’ the first national campaign for First Nations youth to fight homophobia and transphobia, as well as a ‘Two Spirit & Indigenous LGBTQQIA Mentors, Elders & Grandparents Support Circle.’

Canadian Civil Liberties Association (CCLA)

CCLA actively stands up to power by fighting against rights violations, abuse of police powers, inequality, and discrimination. We stand for freedom, equality, and a better future for all people in Canada.

CCLA has published a Know Your Rights Guide to educate students about 2SLGTBQI+ rights in schools. This resource helps students, allies, and teachers better understand rights under the Charter, human rights laws, and Ontario’s Education Act, and how to take positive action toward making schools more safe and inclusive.
